More Love For Lisa...

As this week goes on, I'm even more moved by the impact that Lisa Lengacher had in the lives of those all around me. Click to read the thoughts of Steve Gall, Jon Andrews, Shelley Flickinger, and Rhonda Schrock.

Rob,

I've been reading the blogs for Lisa. I can't say I knew her as well as you but I wanted to share with you my memory of Lisa and how she made a difference in my life.

Lisa and I grew up 2 houses apart she was 4 years older than my sister so she babysat us many times throughout the summers... and she had siblings that were our age.. so we played at their house alot.. I remember one summer we ended up at the old Harrison school... playing so Lisa was at least 16.. and we had the famous station wagon.. I was only prob 6-7 and drove that car back around the back of the school... I made it back there with no problems...and her eyes were as big as saucers..... and that was the last time she left the keys in the car

Words do not come easy at a time like this, but we wanted to let Jeff & the family/friends know how much Lisa meant to us. Our two boys attend Compass & that has truly been an answer to prayer. They both desperately needed something more than just a typical daycare setting after school every day while my husband & I finish out our work days. Jeff & Lisa have been a true blessing to our lives. Lisa was always very kind & helpful and every day you just knew that she was happily doing God's work. She was just one of those people that did what God asked of her without question, complaint or reservation. I strive to be more like her. My husband & I both will always fondly remember her & the impact she had on Ben & Luke's lives. After the initial shock wore off from the news of her death, I asked them what they were feeling. Ben (12 years old) said "I liked her so much. She was very nice & helped me alot. I am going to miss her." Luke (7 years old) said "she sure was pretty beautiful. She had a nice heart." I think everyone who knew her would agree. Tom & Cami (Bethel) Mechling
